What is an In Home Design Consultation and how does it work?
An In Home Design Consultation starts with a brief free discovery call to discuss your project to ensure that we make the best use of the time when I visit you.
During the 90-minute visit I would like you to show me some of your home (not just the room we are working with) to give me an idea of your style, likes and dislikes. Please take notes as we go along.
We can then move on and focus on the areas that you are struggling with. I can answer any specific questions that you have prepared for me so that I can give you plenty of ideas and next steps for you to follow to achieve your vision.
Because there is a time limit for this consultation, we both need to be prepared to make the most of every minute we have.

Redesign or redecoration of a room to update or change the look and feel of it.
Final decisions on colour schemes, paint finishes, fabrics, tiles, flooring etc. to ensure you create a room that you will love.
Changing the function of a room – perhaps you need to convert a room into a home office?
Space planning to make the best use of your space.
Advising on any structural alterations / knock throughs or extension possibilities
Checking architects plans to make your internal space work positively for you.
Answering all your questions allowing you to make confident decisions to move forward.
Here is a list outlining how you should prepare for our meeting.
State your goals Think about the purpose of the space we will be discussing, how you and your family want to use it as well as the look and feel you want to achieve. Envision your ideal result and then gather some example images of the look you are trying to achieve.
Make a list Starting with your most pressing issue and then continue with more items needing to be improved in order of how urgent they are. During the consultation we will address the items in your list from the top down.
Think about your scope I will of course come up with ideas and suggestions but these need to be based on your budget and the amount of work you foresee. Are you considering a total change or working around what you already have?
Colour Schemes If you need advice on paint, wallpaper, or flooring, please let me know beforehand, so I can bring a selection for you to look at.
